Here was founded in 1996 by Maureen Pesce. Married to a Venetian, Maureen
lived in Italy for many years and experienced Italian cooking and shopping
first hand. When she returned to the UK she found it hard to get hold
of the quality of Italian product she had enjoyed in Italy and she realized
that many people were experiencing the same difficulty, thus Take it
From Here was born. All the suppliers used by Take it From Here are
small artisan companies using traditional techniques and with a very
limited production. They are all true to their origins and professional
in their approach, complying with all the most rigorous hygiene laws
and restrictions, but, best of all, they love what they do and this
love of their work, products and traditions give to the products a special
